Tenfaye is a large steel casting manufacturer. Today, we will share how to continue process of
slag pot after casting?
Slag pots are used in the metallurgical industry to carry and transport steel slag in high temperature environments.
After casting, the slag pot needs to undergo a series of post-processing processes to ensure its service life: heat treatment is an indispensable and important step. The slag pot may produce internal stresses during the casting process, which will greatly reduce its service life. A variety of heat treatment methods such as annealing, normalizing or tempering are used to optimize its metallographic structure and thus improve its mechanical properties; surface treatment is also required. In order to enhance the corrosion resistance of the slag pot, sandblasting will be performed to remove the oxide scale and other impurities on the surface of the large steel casting-slag pot; then coating treatment is performed to increase its ability to resist environmental corrosion, so that it can still operate stably under harsh working conditions such as high temperature, high pressure and chemical corrosion; strict quality inspection is also required, including dimensional inspection, visual inspection, non-destructive testing (such as ultrasonic testing and magnetic particle testing), etc., to ensure that its various performance indicators meet the design requirements.
The post-processing of slag pots is a systematic project involving multiple complex process flows. Only through multi-step post-processing processes such as non-destructive testing, heat treatment, surface treatment and fine processing can the slag pots be able to work in various environments. Choosing
large-scale cast manufacturer can ensure product quality and service life.
